Smart, Outgoing and Eager to Please
-

Boston Terriers were bred to be companion animals and they thrive on plenty of human contact and attention. They are bright and active, always ready to play and make friends. While energetic, they don’t need too much outdoor space to keep them happy, as long as they get enough exercise and playtime. These plucky little dogs also enjoy participating in organised activities like flyball and agility training. Many Boston Terriers work as therapy dogs, bringing their good-natured cheer to schoolchildren and patients in hospitals and nursing homes.
The lively and cute Boston Terrier is a good choice for families with children. As a smart, outgoing, and eager to please breed, the Boston Terrier is very trainable. It is important to start training and socialising your dog from an early age and always use only positive reinforcement training techniques. Reward good behaviour with praise and treats and never punish your dog.
