A display of Ponti’s beloved ceramic tiles at the Triennale di Milano offers the occasion to peruse his design for the Parco dei Principi Hotel in Sorrento and the restoration of its exact original appearances, including an adjustment to changed standards in norms and technology with which today’s places of public hospitality must comply.

The design of a large green area adjacent to a spa hotel north of Tokyo is allowing this Japanese architect to explore the park genre as he creates a kind of vast jigsaw puzzle where the relation between people and ponds, trees and plants aims to be intimate and familiar.

Designed by renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa, the concept of The Blue Water Hotel was to exude a sense of absolute calm while capitalising on vistas of the ocean through its architecture. The last hotel to be designed by Bawa, the property has over the years incorporated many additions by his protégé Channa Daswatte.

Taking into account the dynamics of the manufacturing process and “Really Green” sustainable architectural practices, the architect has designed a truly state-of-the-art urban kitchen and administration complex in the industrial zone
of Ratmalana. Fab Kitchen is an unique example for how to ensure low operational and maintenance costs and maximum production efficiency through architecture within very functionally industrial working environments.

Lavish contemporary vibrancy, fused with the concepts of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, the South Beach Development, a project which includes the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, exudes luxury. Set in the heart of Singapore’s art and culture district, the hotel emulates its historic heritage and modern style.
