There was a time when the obvious thing to do with a V8 90 would be to turn it into an off-road beast. These days, though, original factory V8s are rare and precious – so if you found one that someone had ragged, you'd immediately think about restoring it. That's exactly what Luke Odgen did. But despite treating the 90 to a chassis-up rebuild, he didn't take it back to standard. Instead, he created a stunning street machine with real off-road cred – and a feature up top which you're unlikely ever to have seen before… Elsewhere in The Landy this month, we've put the spotlight on an ex-utility 110 that's been turned into an all-terrain camper with some really tidy features. And if you like being noticed, how about a heftily jacked-up Discovery 2 – which also happens to be a fully liveried ambulance with all its lights and sirens still in operation? We've also got the concluding instalment of our workshop story on changing a Defender's rear crossmember. And as the world shows signs of being able to start opening back up (hasta la vaccine, baby…), we have a welcome story about overland holidays in the Portuguese interior – a genuine wilderness that's close enough to home to be easily achievable. Our news pages cover the latest developments in the factory and elsewhere, including Land Rover's celebrations for the Range Rover's 50th anniversary. And in addition to the usual batch of new products, there's a bumper crop of interesting Land Rovers for sale in our classified pages. It's all there in the new issue of The Landy!

The Landy Magazine Description:

Winter is upon us with its Baltic climes, treacherously icy lanes and the coolest issue on The Landy calendar hitting festively wreathed front doorsteps.

Theo James, his dog and a myriad of other random props at a seriously questionable location make up the new Range Rover Sport’s advertisement, so we poke at the ‘quirky British’ theme it boasts before heading to the first Yorkshire Hill Rally to see who dominated the leading places.

(Motor)Home is where the heart is. Or at least it was for Footloose 4x4 who created the Sherazee, a bespoke overlanding conversion that features from page 15 and who have inspired many more similar conversions. If you’re feeling like a walk down memory lane, find Rogue Vogue in our blast-from-past article detailing the life and times of this vibrant vehicle and its creator.

With our ever-reliable buyers guide, new updates from JLR and reviews of the latest accessories created to make Land Rover life even better, the Winter issue of The Landy has arrived to keep your off-road fire burning.
