In this issue

In the December issue of The Landy Magazine, we investigate Land Rover’s long-lasting royal connection; a relationship that has endured since before the Series I first went on sale. Of course, a vast array of royal Landys are distributed globally. Yet, in one of our feature pieces this month, we are able to centre on an impressive selection of some of the best out there through our coverage of this year’s Goodwood Revival. The event took place on the 8th of September, the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. Because of this, Land Rover showcased the greatest number of royal Landys and Range Rovers ever to be gathered in one place, much to our delight.
Changing gear, away from our piece on royal Landys, in this December’s issue, we offer a wholesome piece about a petrolhead father called Andrew Rogerson, who managed to get his whole family, yes, including his kids, to develop his enthusiasm for off-roading. Already the owner of a Ranger Rover and a Discovery, of which the latter was the first vehicle used to take the kids green laning, Andrew felt he needed a third motor to go on some proper off-roading expeditions with his family. He chose a stunning Defender 90 Td5 XS (in black) to do the job and decided to fit it with all the extras you could wish for. You really won’t want to miss out on getting the lowdown on this impressive Defender.
As always, by acquiring yourself a copy of this month’s issue of The Landy, you will be grabbing yourself a rigorous rundown on all types of Landy and Range Rover in our feature ‘The Landy Buyer’. This section of the magazine offers you all the information you need – in one place – to buy your perfect Landy. Whether you are after a Series I, Defender 90, Discovery 5, Range Rover Sport, or anything in between, we will have all you need to make an informed decision about purchasing the vehicle right for you.

Land Rover only made the Lightweight for military customers. But how would a civvy one have looked? This month’s issue of The Landy features a hard-top whose owner reckons it might be the answer.

We’ve also got a unique Range Rover TD5 this month. Yes, you read that right. A late four-door, it’s been completely restored… around the entire powertrain from a Disco 2. And it’s probably got most of its life still ahead of it.

Elsewhere in this issue, news of resurgent sales from Land Rover’s dealerships as the global microchip shortage starts to ease, and a celebratory Defender 90 from Bowler – as well as best practice in green lane stewardship in the Lake District, the latest and best new products and, er, creme brûlée. Land Rovers go anywhere in more ways than one…
