In the December issue of The Landy Magazine, we investigate Land Rover’s long-lasting royal connection; a relationship that has endured since before the Series I first went on sale. Of course, a vast array of royal Landys are distributed globally. Yet, in one of our feature pieces this month, we are able to centre on an impressive selection of some of the best out there through our coverage of this year’s Goodwood Revival. The event took place on the 8th of September, the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. Because of this, Land Rover showcased the greatest number of royal Landys and Range Rovers ever to be gathered in one place, much to our delight. Changing gear, away from our piece on royal Landys, in this December’s issue, we offer a wholesome piece about a petrolhead father called Andrew Rogerson, who managed to get his whole family, yes, including his kids, to develop his enthusiasm for off-roading. Already the owner of a Ranger Rover and a Discovery, of which the latter was the first vehicle used to take the kids green laning, Andrew felt he needed a third motor to go on some proper off-roading expeditions with his family. He chose a stunning Defender 90 Td5 XS (in black) to do the job and decided to fit it with all the extras you could wish for. You really won’t want to miss out on getting the lowdown on this impressive Defender. As always, by acquiring yourself a copy of this month’s issue of The Landy, you will be grabbing yourself a rigorous rundown on all types of Landy and Range Rover in our feature ‘The Landy Buyer’. This section of the magazine offers you all the information you need – in one place – to buy your perfect Landy. Whether you are after a Series I, Defender 90, Discovery 5, Range Rover Sport, or anything in between, we will have all you need to make an informed decision about purchasing the vehicle right for you.

The Landy Description:

Winter is upon us with its Baltic climes, treacherously icy lanes and the coolest issue on The Landy calendar hitting festively wreathed front doorsteps.

Theo James, his dog and a myriad of other random props at a seriously questionable location make up the new Range Rover Sport’s advertisement, so we poke at the ‘quirky British’ theme it boasts before heading to the first Yorkshire Hill Rally to see who dominated the leading places.

(Motor)Home is where the heart is. Or at least it was for Footloose 4x4 who created the Sherazee, a bespoke overlanding conversion that features from page 15 and who have inspired many more similar conversions. If you’re feeling like a walk down memory lane, find Rogue Vogue in our blast-from-past article detailing the life and times of this vibrant vehicle and its creator.

With our ever-reliable buyers guide, new updates from JLR and reviews of the latest accessories created to make Land Rover life even better, the Winter issue of The Landy has arrived to keep your off-road fire burning.
