One year ago this month, a police officer fatally shot Keith Lamont Scott in the University City area, setting off protests and violence in the city’s streets. On the anniversary of that important moment in our city’s history, we take a look at the most pressing issues Charlotte faces today—affordable housing, police-citizen relationships, early education, immigration, and transportation, along with 24 others. For each, we either offer a solution or shine light on people who are already working toward solutions in those areas.
