“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” That is a quote from Aesop, and that is a truth we sometimes choose to ignore.

In this issue, you will meet Hussein, a Turkish man who is the embodiment of kindness, not just to humans, but to cats on the street. He feeds them, protects them, and calls them his family – all in a city where stray cats are detested and cat-lovers are frowned upon. And in the same story, you will meet a volunteer, just as kind, who is so overwhelmed by his compassionate nature that she goes all out to save the troubled livelihood of Hussein. The result is amazing as strangers come forward to help kind Hussein and his cats.

Animals too can help others, as you will read a story about how an otherwise-cowardly dog saves a life. Speaking of lives, with a string of disturbing accidents (and incidents) in mid-air, the safety of plane travel has been questioned. So, is it still safe to travel by plane? Let me give you a heads-up: this is the best time to fly.

Travel, you will, as we take you to the West in this issue. Read about Paris, the fashion capital, and explore places in London. And our travel writer will take you all the way to South America, where she falls in love with the magnificent Iguazu Falls.
