Look, this is a one-off thing. I don’t handle uploads at all, but with both Jeans MIA, I’ve been tasked to cover just this once. Greg here, anyway, if you care about that. It’s weird enough that we had two women sharing the same name working the same capacity, but it’s weirder that Jean 2 would disappear after having her internship extended.
The energy in the office has been strange ever since they let the male intern go. That itself was a dramatic episode too. Now that I think about it, I don’t even remember his name. I used to call him glasses cause he had a funky pair.
Well, this mid-year issue has The White Lotus’ Patrick Schwarzenegger stepping into his own spotlight, discussing the LA wildfires and dying on screen. Everyone gets introspective with columnist Zul Andra leading the way on quiet defiance, writer Elliot Tan with a bit of an existential crisis, and features editor Joy Ling questioning the fabric of reality. Going beyond borders, style director Asri Jasman addresses tariff-spurred tensions between luxury and geography, longtime contributor Josh Sims gets into the high cost of flying, while editor-in-chief Wayne Cheong takes the scenic route on foot and the long route by sea.
FRED artistic director and VP Valérie Samuel, SAtheCollective’s Andy Chia and more are in the June/July issue, now out on Magzter.
You know what’s funny? Now that I’m using Jean(s)’ desktop for this, I just noticed the same pair of no-lens glasses next to it. Never knew she had such odd taste-whichever Jean this belongs to-, though I’ve never actually seen either of them wear it...
