14 years with (and for) Africa
14 years ago, we began our journey across the warm lands of Africa. We arrived in Angola determined to make a difference. And we have. The years have passed and we have stuck to the same philosophy and values as always. We have challenged ourselves with each issue to ensure distinctive content. We’ve made history, we’ve told so many more stories, and in each interview and subject we’ve chosen, we’ve endeavoured to show our readers the best of what’s being done on this continent. And, you know what, we want to keep making a difference. That’s why, in this 14th anniversary edition, we have spoken to 14 business leaders from the most diverse areas of activity. The result can be seen on the following pages. Men and women, managers of their businesses, who share their testimonies with V&G and who, like us, put a lot of themselves into their work, their day-to-day lives... for themselves, for their companies, for people and for Africa. That’s why celebrating 14 years, together with those who continue to read us, and together with those who make the issues happen – partners, friends, the editorial and creative team -, is a source of pride. Because sharing our story, giving a voice to so many personalities, is what defines us best. We chart paths, reflect on memories, record events, consider the words of our interviewees and experience nature at its fiercest on every trip we make. In all this time, we’ve always wanted to surprise you. We hope to do so again in this 14th anniversary edition. Come away with a pleasant memory of us. Long live stories, culture, travelling and the good things in life.
