We present the new issue of Villas&Golfe; Mozambique to you with the most beautiful images of a paradise known as Maputo. We make our way through the Bairro dos Pescadores (Fishermen’s Quarter), from sunup to sundown, encountering the great willingness to cast nets into the sea. And as there are many people willing to do more and better, we meet up with Fernanda Lichale, ambassador to Mozambique in Portugal to get to grips with the country’s diplomatic scene. Pedalling – inspired by the name of his latest art show – we set off in discovery of the artistic world of painter Gemuce and, in amongst banana leaves, we meet Dona Catarina, a specialist craftswoman of the rarest kind. Isolated in the sea, we lift the veil on Xefina Island, alluring on the horizon of the Bay of Maputo. Then we’re blown away by the tea of the city of Gurué, in Zambézia, before bidding farewell aboard a traditional dhow, dashing across the ocean with the GA Dhow Race.
