With the constant change in the creative field, Perci Intalan paves the way to new and fresh stories through the art of film making. Imbibed with his creative prowess, continuously strives to be a multi-faceted talent and hopes to produce new films in the future.

Now more than ever, the LGBTQIA+ community has never been more loud. We’re beginning to see a re-emergence as the message gets clearer; they are here to stay. Village Pipol launched a Pride campaign “You Are” wherein any members from LGBTQIA+ community can participate. After hundreds of participants, each member gets to be highlighted on our official Facebook page, as well as through our other social media channels– sharing the message of pride.

On the other side of the spectrum, not everyone has a good support system. In the case of Ria Atayde, she gets her strength through the bond with her mother, Sylvia Sanchez. These mother-daughter star tandem was May 2022’s VP/Cover.

Despite the chaotic ins and outs of the pandemic, this gave us time to learn more about ourselves and develop a different perspective in life. Life is indeed short. There is definitely a lot to unpack. A million words we need to say. Deep breathes we need to master. But the Filipinos are known to be resilient. 

I am looking forward to better years. Yes, we maybe recovering from the reality of the pandemic, but reality is our battlefield. Stay close and listen, our voices will be heard.

'Tis the season to be jolly, indeed! The month of December certainly filled our hearts with the most joyful and fondest of memories. Here, in the Village Pipol Magazine, we celebrate with everyone the most wonderful time of the year.

First, our September cover star Faye Lorenzo talked about her journey in show business, moving her readers on how passionate she was in pursuing her childhood goal, which is entering the entertainment scene.

Now, Faye moves readers to never give up on their dreams, as she believes the Lord always has plans waiting for people.

For our VP/Xclusive, TikTok star Queenee Mercado shared the story behind her TikTok stardom and how she wanted to showcase her authentic self in front of the cameras.

Queenee's story helps in inspiring readers to always show their real selves, even in this era of the digital age.

Now, Queenee inspires readers by loving what they see in the mirror, in relation to pursuing their goals in life as she continues her TikTok stardom while starting a beauty brand.

In our VP/Spotlight, Village Pipol highlighted the journey of GMA Artist Kim de Leon. It was there where readers saw how he put his dream of being in front of the cameras into a reality. This story showed how Kim put his passion into play by pursuing what he really wanted ever since he was young.

Lastly, Kim reminds people that not every journey will be a smooth ride, but all will be worth the wait if they continue to pursue it to grab the brass ring containing their goals and veering away from their comfort zones.

Truly, having passion and showing authenticity goes a long way in life. Through such, we can grasp our goals and learn a lot of lessons along the way.

August is a slow month. It stretches out the longest across the span of a year. Half of the year has already gone. And, there are only a few months left before 2021 ends. It seems this month has become the perfect time to make the most of the entire year. And, because it is a slow month, it yawns and lingers on - being considered the ghost month. The year is slow to alter to forget - due to the COVID-19 pandemic spanning across a few years. 

As a celebration, we feature Sam Pinto on the VP/Cover as she welcomes enigmatic motherhood. For the VP/Spotlight, we celebrate August as the Buwan ng Wika. Editor-in-chief Angela Baltan showcases Lala Vinzon in a beautifully crafted Filipino feature. Meanwhile, VP/Xclusive displays DJ Loonyo’s passion overruling his fear of entering the music industry. 

Truthfully, August has been a slow month. But, even then, we shall not regret the current tide that has come. May we continue battling against the steady mobility of this year. 

For the whole month of June, companies and organizations publicize their rainbow-themed logos all over the internet. However, the moment July comes, they revert to black and white. This month, we prove that Pride will never be over as Village Pipol Magazine proudly features LGBTQ+ content. We shall continue celebrating the community and stand together for the powerful moment of love and acceptance. 

For the special issue, we shine a light on a company that has started to release gender-neutral garments. Distinguished brand Avon Philippines showcase and produce cutting-edge and high-quality products. They strive to help members of the LGBTQIA+ community to feel seen, supported, and celebrated by relaying acceptance and inclusivity. Now easily attained with the new Limitless Collection, their gender-neutral intimates, setting to break standards for retail fashion. 

On the VP/Cover, Kokoy de Santos and Elijah Canlas unfold a bigger narrative as they continue to represent the LGBTQ+ community in mainstream media with the famed BL series, ‘Gameboys.’ Meanwhile, on the VP/Spotlight, Adrianna So proves that she emanates a golden spark as she points a magnifying glass on visibility and equality for the queer women in media, especially with ‘Pearl Next Door.’ VP/Xclusives, on the other hand, features two young women Ysabel Ortega and Liezel Lopez that continue to climb the ladder to success. 

We have come a long way competing for inclusivity, and we still have a lot of work to do. So, let us continue fighting the good fight.

Together, let’s promote every person’s individuality regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression. Let’s deliver a message that an LGBTQ+ person's sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression do not define their whole being.

VPXclusives featured three women: Samantha Bernardo shared her preparations for the Miss Grand International held in Thailand. We are now in the last month of 2020, and I just want to congratulate you on surviving
this tough year. The past months have been really challenging for most of us, a year
that made huge demands on all of us — emotionally, mentally, and psychologically.
Despite what is happening in the world right now, let us not forget to still spread love and kindness this Christmas season.

Aside from being a season of love and giving, December is a moment for throwbacks and appreciation. Looking back at what we’ve been through this year, I must say only the strong ones could survive this roller coaster ride. Time flies so fast but all the learnings from this year will last forever.
