We have hi-tech medical facilities, but still we are unhealthy and unstable. In this situation, ‘Yoga’ and only Yoga can help us to bring peace to our body and mind. The role of Yoga in modern life is abundant. Apart from teaching us how to lead a healthy life, it also helps us in increasing our creativity, sharpening our memory and maintain a positive mental health. But more than all of these, Yoga also helps a practitioner to imbibe the values of leading a desire free life. Many inter personal relationships are hampered because of ego and desire. Yoga helps us in toning down these two. Our country has an onerous task of taking the Yoga Philosophy throughout the world. Asana and Pranayama are just the gateways to the value filled realm of Yoga. We have to lead the world the values emphasized in Ashtanga Yoga too. Our Govt. has rightly taken up the Swaahh Bharat Campaign, which is nothing but ‘Soucha’, a value extolled in Ashtanga Yoga. We search for happiness in the virtual world and social media, ignoring our near and dear ones. Yoga will work like a magic to such people and help him to reconnect with life. Reconnecting with life and Reinventing ourself are both possible through Yoga. This International day of Yoga (June 21st) let us take a resolution to make Yoga as a part of our life.
