We\'re back with another fun issue of Pune’s first free digital magazine \'PuneUnltd.\'! As another academic year begins, we shift our focus to the oldest educational institutions that make our city the “Oxford of the East”. Numerous courses, breath-taking campuses and a rich history – we Punekars have so much to take pride in! We dedicate this issue to Pune’s future – the students. Whether it’s party, nightlife, food or even travel, students of the city are in for a treat!

This has been conveyed a million times so what's once more; we Punekars are extremely proud of our city. But, truth be told, other than 'basic' requirements like decent infrastructure, there are many 'cool' things that Pune needs. Stepping into a new year, we thought we'd list down some of them, which if established, will up the 'awesome' quotient of the city. 

Another shorter list entails five Beef Kheema plates, which if you haven't tried already, you've simply got to in 2015. 

Other than that, there are a couple of interesting tête-à-têtes in there along with the usual stuff!

First off, we're hoping you guys had a clean and memorable Diwali! The two most recent elections being the most 'modern' in terms of how they focused on the vast middle class have brought about a change in the style of campaigning that some may not be too happy with. Our cover story is a fictional, tongue-in-cheek piece on one such election-specialist-cash-in person, his reasons for resenting the new ways and his hopes for good-old times (well, good-old for him). 

Other than that, take a look at how you should give your body a break and detoxify post the Diwali binge, meet some four-legged angels doing their bit for our citizens as well as a story on what's good and not much much about the ISL 2014.

Diwali is coming! And we couldn't be more enthusiastic about it! Lights, diyas, great food, and all of that with family and friends. What more could one ask for, right? In this issue, we've gone all out to share what the festival is all about, how you can make it even more memorable this year as well as how we can all do our bit for a Clean Diwali.

It's that auspicious time of the year again; when we celebrate as well as rejoice in the positives that compensate for the inevitable negativity. That's what our current issue is all about too! We've picked a host of events that took place in the city recently; events that make us proud Punekars, events that signify the victory of good over evil.

They realise their responsibilities, capabilities and power. They know how to rock their workplace and, at the same time, make a wonderful daughter, wife and mother. Pune has umpteen examples of women who're making a mark for themselves, regardless of the field they've chosen. We at Pune Unltd. salute them and, with this issue, aim to bring to our readers a glimpse into the lives of some of them.

Also take a moment to go through our Food section, wherein, we've brought to you a bunch of lip-smacking international dishes that you can enjoy right in the city. And, taking our Peth series forward is an insight into Guruwar Peth that'll leave you awestruck with its heritage and delish food options. We're sure you'll enjoy every minute of it.

Pune gave birth to the Sarvajanik (Public) Ganeshotsav celebrations in an effort to bring the masses together when India was in the clutches of the British Raj. That was then. Today, Pune celebrates to rejoice, welcoming Lord Ganesha with much fanfare and an open heart. In heed of our city's, why, state's grandest festival, we've showcased a Punekar's love for Bappa with 'Like Deity, Like Devotee'; the similarities between you, a Punekar, and the Lord himself!

We're excited. Why, you ask? We kick off this issue with India's 67th year of independence. This time, we took the liberty to dig deeper into the lives of the many unsung revolutionaries of Pune that contributed in India's struggle for freedom. Take a moment to read through as we reminisce about their struggle and, feel immensely proud of them.

Also, with Ganeshotsav just days away, we present to you two special stories dedicated to the biggest festival of our state. We're sure you'll have fun reading them. As always, you'll find the regular features in there.

We're all for visual appeal (ahem... who isn't), especially when it comes to brilliant photography. Our lovely cultural city has doled out some remarkable photographers and, we were lucky to get an opportunity to chat with some of them. Their passion for their work is amazingly contagious! 

As promised, we've covered another Puneri Peth for you, the second in our list of many such gems in the heart of Pune. 

And, as always, the regular stuff is all in there. Go feast! 

So much has happened this past fortnight... For starters, Pune is finally getting drenched! And that\'s one of the reasons why we had more-than-usual fun getting this issue ready for you. This time, our team went out and about, into the heart of the city, rediscovering its largest and oldest markets. Our cover story tells you all about our experiences; in pictures and a handful of words.
Also, starting with this issue, we\'ve come up with a new, short-term \'Peth\' segment. We will walk you through Pune\'s many Peths, their history, what they\'re known for and their people.
And of course, the usual is all in there!

Pune is a changing city... no longer just a place for students or pensioners, it boasts a vibrant business environment. And this has nurtured some innovative new businesses. We met them to find out what makes them tick.
