Rising air pollution is causing health issues among human being and other living animals. It is also responsible for damaging environment. Particulate matter is one of the most important aspects of air pollution. As per a recent WHO report, India had 14 out of world's 20 most polluted cities in terms of PM2.5 levels in 2016. The report also highlighted that of the 3.8 million deaths caused by household air pollution globally, the Southeast Asia region accounts for 1.5 million or 40 per cent deaths, and of the 4.2 million global deaths due to ambient air pollution.
