2020年是北京故宮建成600週年，但各地「故宮」的歷史可不止600年。1366年，朱元璋選定了「鍾阜龍蟠」、「帝王之宅」的金陵（今江蘇南京）興建王宮，歷經明初三朝的南京故宮由此而來；1625年，努爾哈赤遷都盛京（今遼寧瀋陽），用於議政的大政殿和十王亭成為日後瀋陽故宮之雛形；1965年，台北故宮博物院成立，兩岸故宮共同見證文物南遷歷史。還有嘉義故宮、故宮鼓浪嶼外國文物館、香港故宮文化博物館……跨越600年的故宮，沒有隨歲月「故」去，至今依然生生不息。
