Our cover project this month is a wonderful tweed cushion, Hearts and Flowers, designed by Margaret Lee. We have a couple of English paper piecing projects for you; the first, Pretty Little Hexies enables you to fussy cut your hexagons while Summer Blues combines hexagons and gem shapes. If you’re after a simpler pieced project, then From Porto with Love, is for you. With spring in the air, the Fabric Vases are an ideal way of adding a personal quilted touch to your spring flower displays. We make a Dresden Plate block in our block of the month quilt, Stars & Flowers and Stuart has a great geometric block for you to try in Stashbusting. We have some wonderful quilts to show you this month. Joanna O’Neill was lucky enough to visit the Through the Seasons exhibition in Cumbria recently and Helen shows us the results of this year’s Journal Quilt Challenge. She also tells us how to make Memory Quilts while Chris Hammacott looks at recycling fabrics in her article on Sustainabilty. Abigail Sheridan de Graaff tells us about her First and Last quilts and we meet Malvern Quilters in Introducing.
