We are putting the final touches to a historical moment of transformation, of profound changes, renewal and updating in all senses. I am comforted to see just how we are fulfilling all of our objectives, with great effort and sacrifice, for the benefit of the institution and therefore, for the benefit of all. We must be aware that we are going through something of a turning point for the future of our institution, and I would also like to acknowledge that this has been, to a great extent, thanks to the support and enthusiasm of many people who have been and continue to be involved in this long, arduous process of transformative rejuvenation that the Cercle has undergone in recent years.

Estamos culminando un momento histórico de transformación, de profundos cambios, de renovación y actualización en todos los sentidos. Me reconforta ver cómo estamos consiguiendo con gran esfuerzo y sacrificio, todos nuestros objetivos para beneficio de la entidad y por tanto, para beneficio de todos. Hemos de tener consciencia de que estamos viviendo un punto de inflexión para el futuro de nuestra institución y también me gusta reconocer que ha sido, en gran parte, gracias al apoyo y entusiasmo de muchas personas que han estado y siguen estando implicados en este duro y largo proceso de rejuvenecimiento transformador que está experimentando el Cercle desde estos últimos años.

A NEW PARADIGM
We have spent a long time nurturing the desire and ambition to recover our former position, to attain what so many of us have sought after for so long - to return the Barcelona Royal Artistic Circle to its deserved splendour; something which, really, should never have even been dulled. The tasks have been manifold, but our hope, our passion and our persevereance have allowed us to carry on ever forward and achieve our aims, one by one, never stopping in our efforts.
Today, I want to let everyone know that I am proud of everyone and of everything, as well as being strengthened by it. Together we have been able to push forward with patience, diplomacy and good manners; one could expect nothing less of an institution like ours.

It’s no easy task leading an institution with such a cultural and artistic legacy as important as the Barcelona Royal Artistic Circle’s is. Now, more that ever, we need to arm ourselves with the bravery to confront large, serious challenges that will allow us to not only forge ahead in our efforts to support and spread our art and artists, but also to evolve and maintain the standard we should be at in all our tasks.

PROMOTION AND DYNAMISM
The second issue of the new Royal Artistic Circle magazine is taking off in what is its third period. With a painstaking new look, I would like to underline our wish to turn to you with an offering of interesting content, incorporating articles and interviews undertaken with people that have a relevant role and a reputation within the area of arts and culture, as well as in the research and localisation of those leaders with the greatest level of influence in each sector. As such, we are talking about a publication with a great deal of influence that is shaped by a profound transformation of its main objective, and is gradually formed by the various periods of its trajectory and denomination: from an internal local interest bulletin to a wide-ranging magazine, given that its publication has undergone and is undergoing such growth.

Con una cuidada y renovada presentación, me gustaría resaltar la voluntad de dirigirnos a todos ustedes con una oferta de contenidos de interés evidente, incorporando artículos y entrevistas realizadas a personas con un papel relevante y notorio dentro del ámbito de las artes y la cultura en toda su extensión, así como en la investigación y localización de los líderes de opinión que denotan mayor influencia en cada sector.
Por tanto, estamos hablando de una publicación de gran proyección que se conforma sobre una profunda transformación de su objetivo primigenio, y que se va perfilando de forma gradual según las diferentes épocas de su trayectoria y denominación: de boletín de circulación interna e interés local a revista de divulgación de gran espectro, dado que su difusión ha experimentado y está experimentando un enorme crecimiento.
