Exposing the extent of a largely hidden movement in the Middle East, WIRED shows how anti-vaccination sentiment is quietly gaining a foothold, posing a potential risk as the world prepares for a mass immunization drive to stem the spread of the coronavirus. The issue examines how, given a rising tide of corona conspiracy theories globally—with some of the most outlandish directed at Bill Gates himself—the battle for public opinion is becoming just as important as developing a vaccine.
