What happens when templates talk back, code writes itself, and workflows build themselves? The no-code future isn't just about speed, it's reshaping how software thinks, scales, and stays secure
-
When Abhinav Girdhar, Founder and CEO, Appy Pie, reflects on the evolution of app development, it’s clear the no-code movement has traveled a long way. Originally a way for non-developers to spin up simple solutions, it’s now rubbing shoulders with AI tools, reshaping how enterprises approach architecture, automation, and security. And according to him, we’re just getting started.
For years, businesses have relied on no-code platforms like Appy Pie to build without traditional coding. But now, Al-generated code is in the mix too. From ChatGPT to Gemini, Al copilots are generating large code files in seconds. However, Abhinav points out a key distinction: these tools, often lumped under the label of “white coding,” may generate output quickly but rarely deliver anything close to true application architecture. They offer raw output, not design thinking.
While low-code platforms feel the impact of this shift, given their dependency on editable code blocks, no-code environments like Appy Pie remain largely unaffected. Their DNA was never about lines of code. Instead, they focus on modular templates and plug-and-play components that abstract the developer entirely out of the process.
