This remarkable achievement comes after the nation’s bronze-medal performance in the sport at the 2018 Asian Games, Yogender Singh Dahiya, President of the Sepak Takraw Federation of India, envisions this victory as a pivotal moment for the sport’s growth and development in the country.

Reflecting on the event, Dahiya, a key organiser, shared insights into the challenges and triumphs behind hosting the championship. “When we decided to host this event in Bihar, there was initial scepticism from foreign teams regarding its success. However, we reassured them of our world-class arrangements, including five-star facilities for players, coaches, and officials. Teams from over 20 countries participated, and the tournament turned out to be a grand success. Even players from rural backgrounds were deeply touched by the hospitality and facilities provided.”
