VinFast's Bold EV Play Signals a Real Turning Point for Philippine Mobility

I recently had the opportunity to attend and speak at the VinFast EV Symposium, aptly titled “From Fuel to Future: The Philippines’ EV Turning Point.”
The discussions were timely and relevant, but what truly stood out to me was not just the conversation. It was VinFast’s strategy.As Chairman of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines, I have seen many approaches to accelerating EV adoption. I must say I was genuinely impressed by how comprehensive and aggressive VinFast’s approach is.
First, their plan to deploy EV taxis through the Green GSM fleet is a game changer. Fleet adoption has always been the fastest way to scale new mobility technologies. By putting EVs directly into daily public use, VinFast is not just introducing electric vehicles. They are normalizing them.
