Teenage Leeds Rhinos play-maker George Brown is a name to watch out for in 2026.
The 18-year-old has been training with Rhinos' first team and, though he hasn't yet been awarded a squad number, a debut could be on the cards this year. Brown made a statement of intent with a try and a man-of-the-match performance, at scrumhalf, in Rhinos' opening preseason win against Wakefield Trinity.
He also scored in the 2024 Boxing Day game, when he made a brief appearance off the bench and went on to be named Rhinos' academy player of the year and man of the match when Warrington Wolves were beaten in the reserve grade Grand Final. Brown, a specialist standoff, played the full 80 minutes of the recent Christmas fixture and stressed: "I was really happy.
