NEW jobs will be coming to Bridgwater after commercial units were approved on the edge of the town.

The Bridgwater Gateway site lies north of the A38 Taunton Road near junction 24 of the M5, and comprises ten business units, a Premier Inn hotel, a Lidl supermarket and outlets operated by Costa Coffee, Domino's Pizza and Greggs.

A total of 511 homes will eventually be delivered at the northern end of the site, with Somerset Council currently considering amended plans for 361 houses put forward by Keepmoat Homes (with the remaining 150 homes being delivered by the Vistry Group).
