Phl now upper-middle income country – WB

The Philippines has moved up to the upper-middle income grouping, according to the World Bank.
Based on the latest income classification, the World Bank said that the Philippines, along with Jordan, Micronesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam moved up to upper-middle income from lower-middle income.
The Philippines achieved a gross national income (GNI) per capita of $4,850, surpassing the $4,636 threshold to be considered an upper-middle income country.
