PM to attend 2nd anniv functions of BJP govt in Odisha

PRIME Minister Narendra Modi is set to make a one-day visit to Odisha on June 20 to participate in a state-level celebration marking the completion of two years of the BJP government led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

BJP general secretary Biranchi Narayan Tripathy on Monday told mediapersons that the prime minister will first arrive at Pahadpur in Mayurbhanj at around 11.15 am, and head to Gosani Peetha, a prominent local shrine, to offer his prayers. Thereafter, he will visit the in-laws’ place of President Droupadi Murmu, where he is likely to spend over an hour interacting with her family members and villagers. Modi will then proceed to Dandbose, a place near Rairangpur and the venue for the public meeting which is scheduled to start at 12.55 pm. The President will also join the second anniversary programme of the government.
