Daniel Coles’ family, who described him as being “loved and liked” by everyone, are now raising money to “give him the send-off he deserves”.

His sister, Keira Short, said Daniel had been ill and was rushed to hospital after falling unconscious on Friday, June 5. But despite the best efforts of medical teams, he died two days later.

She described Daniel as having been a “character” who “always put a smile on everyone’s face” and that his sudden loss has been devastating for his whole family, including his five-year-old son Leyton.

“Daniel was so caring, he was always there when you needed him, he was always putting a smile on people's faces and he was always happy, dancing and singing,” Keira said. “He was also a good dad to his son.

“We all just feel so lost without him because he was such a character to the family and always knew how to cheer everyone up.”

Daniel’s partner of eight years, Chloe Walker, also said he was “always laughing” and enjoyed taking Leyton out on his electric bike.
