The Emergence of the Kalanemis
The Daily Guardian
|July 04, 2026
As the state assembly elections draw closer, and as the strongest bastion of the INDIA alliance and its prominent leader, Mamata Banerjee, appear to have suffered a setback before the growing appeal of Hindutva and Sanatan Dharma, leaders of the INDIA alliance—described here as modern-day “Kalanemis” and proponents of appeasement politics—have, according to this perspective, emerged from hiding wearing the symbolic armor of Sanatan and Hindutva.
They have found an opportunity following allegations of theft involving offerings made at the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, an incident that, in this view, has been exploited by forces opposed to the faith. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has initiated firm action against those accused. It is stated that not only will the entire amount be recovered, but the guilty will also receive exemplary punishment that will serve as a lasting deterrent. Yogi Adityanath has pledged to uncover the complete truth and ensure that justice is delivered, and action in that direction has already begun.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted, the preliminary report has been submitted, eight named accused have been arrested, recoveries have reportedly been made, searches are continuing, demolition drives have begun, Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have resigned, and around 140 people are being questioned.
Every possible effort, according to this viewpoint, is being made to safeguard faith and religion.
However, Akhilesh Yadav and other leaders of the INDIA alliance are alleged to be attempting to turn this issue into a major electoral issue for the 2027 elections. Otherwise, the question is raised as to why Yogi Adityanath and Narendra Modi are being linked to the alleged theft.
