IN the season of giving, a garden centre near St Ives has donated Christmas trees to local schools.

Dobbies Garden Centre in Lelant and Scottish Christmas tree grower Needlefresh invited local organisations to apply for a free fir.
Representatives of Pendeen School, St Uny C of E Academy, St Meriadoc CE Nursery and Infant Academy and Connor Downs Primary School headed to the store to pick up their trees.
