The Cornishman
|April 16, 2026
THE changing nature of press photography over the past 70 years will be explored by former Cornishman photojournalist Greg Martin at a special event next week.

Penlee House Gallery and Museum’s exhibition Harry Penhaul: Life through a Lens has taken visitors back to postwar Penwith with a collection of his black and white images.
Penhaul, who was born in Gulval in 1914, made his name behind the camera, capturing both the news stories and social events of the day.
He was so well known across West Cornwall that his nickname ‘Flash Harry’ became universally recognised in the area.
