Tributes paid after death of ‘The Hog’

TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular dad and construction worker who has died.

Anthony Gallagher passed away on Saturday, aged 65, following a battle with cancer.

He had been diagnosed in May this year.

Originally from Ireland, Anthony moved to the UK when he was younger and lived in Heaton Moor, Stockport.

He leaves behind his wife Doris and two young children - his daughter Catherine and son Edward.

Anthony was a mains layer who had worked in various roles in construction.
