Star Lisa urges ‘get checked’ as she reveals ‘big cancer op’

LISA Faulkner urged women not to skip mammograms after revealing she has just had surgery for breast cancer.

The Brookside and Holby City star, 54, told fans yesterday she had “quite a big op” two weeks ago.

She said the surgery was a success, adding: “I’ve had my results back and they’ve got everything out so it’s all clear, I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks.

“I just wanted to say I’ve got a bit of healing to do but I’m good, I’m well and feeling so much better.

“I’m so grateful that I went for my mammogram. Don’t put them off — go! They found this, and without that mammogram, it wouldn’t have been picked up.
