Boulter and Watson reunite to play in Wimbledon doubles

The duo, who are both ranked in the British top ten for singles, reached the quarter-finals at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Roland Garros’ clay courts and will now take their partnership to the grass in SW19.

Boulter, 29, and Watson, 34, lost out to Italian pair Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani in the last eight in a competition that represented their third doubles event together.

But while Wimbledon will represent only their fourth, head of Women's Tennis at the LTA Iain Bates hopes the wildcard entry will encourage other top singles players to follow suit.

“I'm expecting a lot of energy from them at Wimbledon,” he said.
