Hegseth can't rule out boots on the ground

US DEFENCE Secretary Pete Hegseth has insisted America "didn't start this war but under President Trump we are finishing it" as he left the door open for US soldiers to be placed on the ground in Iran.

Speaking at a press conference at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, yesterday he claimed Tehran had been building up its arsenal to shield its nuclear ambitions.
He described Iran as constructing "powerful missiles to create a conventional shield for their nuclear blackmail ambitions" and vowed to crush the Islamic regime.
