PM Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump met on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France on Wednesday, marking a big step towards resetting ties between India & US, which have been rocked by tariffs and, most recently, killing of 3 Indian sailors in US attacks on ships near Strait of Hormuz.
Addressing Trump, whom he met after 16 months, PM Modi said, “It is a pleasure to meet you again. Since our meeting in Washington last year, our ties have gained new momentum and energy. Our teams have set common targets, and we are working very swiftly to achieve them.”
