Pair sponsored Motherwell in bid to look legit

- BY BART DICKSON

A CONSTRUCTION firm run by two cocaine-dealing gangsters has been closed by the taxman.

DX Home Improvement bosses David Stephen, 30, and Shaun Brown, 31, masterminded a £12million cocaine empire and cockily branded themselves "The Lambros".

The two supercar-loving hoods posed with flash motors and duped Motherwell FC into a shirt sponsorship deal.

They were both jailed for six years and eight months in May after they were caught in a police sting.

It emerged officials from HM Revenue and Customs were pursuing the pair over unpaid tax. Papers lodged at Hamilton Sheriff Court on behalf of commissioners for HMRC asked for DX Homes to be wound up.

An official liquidator has now been appointed and the business has been shut down.
