THE National Heritage Council (NHC) hosted an intergenerational dialogue and indigenous food exhibition in partnership with Nyamukuvha Ngwaniwapo, a youth organisation based in Tshidzivhe village under the Tshivhase Traditional Council.
Rofhiwa Mandiwana (NHC), Gundo Mudzanani and Gugu Hlatshwayo (NHC) display traditional khavho. Andani Budeni (Univen), Ndoweni Malala (Thulamela Municipality), Dr Jane Mufamadi (Freedom Park) and Amos Mulaudzi (NHC).
The event took place on March 28 at the village’s traditional kraal.
NHC representative Amos Mulaudzi said the event aligns with the council’s mandate to promote, preserve and protect South Africa’s heritage, particularly living heritage and Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS).
