WIDESPREAD SHOCK AS BOSS RELIEVED OF DUTIES AFTER SEVEN MONTHS
WOLVES have sensationally parted company with head coach Rob Edwards and his coaching team.
Edwards only returned to Wolves in November, having left Middlesbrough, citing his love for the club but was unable to steer the side clear of relegation troubles.
That being said, it was widely expected that he would at the very least get next year to plot an immediate return, especially after Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez signed in recent days.
Cesar Peixoto, who earned plaudits as he led Gil Vicente to sixth in Portugal's Primeira Liga, is the new name rumoured to be being appointed at Molineux.
A club statement released yesterday morning revealed: ‘‘Following a comprehensive review at the conclusion of the season, the club has determined that a change in leadership is necessary as Wolves enters the next stage of its development.
