Powerhouse plans excite Gray

DEMARAI Gray says the opportunity to play in Birmingham City's proposed 62,000-seater stadium in the Sports Quarter "would be amazing".

The Birmingham-born winger rejoined his boyhood club in the summer with the goal of winning promotion to the Premier League and he attended Thursday's unveiling in Digbeth.
Blues owners Knighthead revealed ‘The Powerhouse’ - a modern stadium surrounded by 12 chimneys, the tallest of which would stand 120 metres high, in a design like no other.
Even though Gray will be 34 by the time the stadium opens if the 2030 target is realised, the unveiling made him think about the prospect of playing there.
