A UNIQUE auction will take place next month in a bid to raise funds to help preserve Birmingham's magnificent town hall.

The auction will see some memorabilia donated by three famous faces connected with the venue.

Proceeds from the auction will support B:Music's Amplify Town Hall appeal to improve accessibility, upgrade facilities, and preserve one of Birmingham's oldest events venue for generations to come.

Items for sale include a signed vinyl album of How Did This Happen and What Does It Now Mean by Birmingham-born singer-songwriter and ambassador for Amplify Town Hall Joan Armatrading.

"My first ever experience of live music was at Birmingham Town Hall," Joan said.

"I'm delighted to be an Amplifier for the project, helping preserve the historic past and creating a sustainable future for generations of artists and audiences to enjoy.
