Since 1874, Piaget founder Georges-Édouard Piaget's pioneering spirit has endured to endow generations after with his indomitable sense of inventiveness, precision and style. From third-generation scion Valentin, who sent designers to Paris to be inspired by Haute Couture, to fourth-generation descendant Yves, who took the Maison's workshop in La Côte-aux-Fées onto the global stage, the Piaget family not only succeeded in perpetuating their legacy, but encouraged it to thrive and blossom.

Piaget's impressive history is marked by such feats as the invention of the ultra-thin movement and the preservation and perfection of goldsmithing skills within the Ateliers de l'Extraordinaire, but it was the launch of the first High Jewellery collection in 1959 that truly caught the attention of high society. The strikingly elegant creations dazzled the era's brightest stars, including Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor and Gina Lollobrigida, whose glamorous association in turn opened the doors to collaborations with aristocratic artists like Salvador Dalí.
