DESPITE having given birth to son Theodore only four months ago, Charlotte Fogel aced both medium classes with her 15-year-old Royal Classic gelding, Royal William.

Charlotte, who works for Barings Bank, rode throughout her pregnancy, which she believes helped her maintain her fitness. However, she admitted getting back into riding mode after a C-section was not easy.

“I’m still not 100% fit but getting stronger,” she said. “Luckily, William has been great, and thanks to monthly lessons with Andrew Gould, he’s become more forward-thinking. He’s a big horse, but such a gentleman.”
