Learn how to....Make your mouse and keyboard easier to use

You use your mouse and keyboard every day – or at least every time you use your computer. You may have learned to touch type, or you may have just developed your own style of typing that lets you output words quickly, but there’s probably more you can do to make these two input devices quicker and easier to use. You might not think there’s much you can change about your mouse, but be prepared to rethink!

Windows includes a number of Ease of Access settings (also known as Accessibility options) that can be used to change the way the keyboard and mouse work. While originally intended for those with particular needs due to conditions such as mobility issues, anyone can benefit from these handy tools and settings.

Let’s look at how Ease of Access settings can be tweaked to make a keyboard and mouse easier to use.

Step-by-step Mouse more easily:

1 Control mouse movement with cursor keys

A mouse is not the always most effective and efficient way to move the cursor, so why not use the keyboard cursor keys instead?. Open Settings, head to Ease of Access, and click the Mouse link to the left. Turn on the toggle under the Control your mouse with a keypad heading. Choose whether Num Lock needs to be enable, tweak cursor speed, and start using the arrow keys.

2 Make the cursor easier to see
