There were certainly a few goals flying in when we faced Watford in the second round of the League Cup in 1994!
Then called the Coca-Cola Cup, the first leg at Vicarage Road at the end of September finished 6-3 to Spurs where Jurgen Klinsmann chipped in with a hat-trick. The return at White Hart Lane finished 3-2 to the battling Hornets with Klinsmann again one of the marksmen.
Klinsmann was in his first spell at White Hart Lane and had made his debut on the opening day of the season having played at Watford in a friendly two weeks before when Richard Johnson and Teddy Sheringham shared the goals in the 1-1 draw.
