Expect a Blues cruise
NEWSBOY'S DAILY DOUBLE DELTA BLUES BELLE (4.55, nap) is fancied to brush aside a 7Ib penalty for her recent Newbury victory and land the Chepstow 9th August Centenary Raceday Handicap Hurdle at the Welsh track. The six-year-old mare, trained by Dan Skelton (below), had won a point-to-point in Ireland over three miles but had been campaigned over hurdles at distances of around two miles. And she relished the step up in trip to just over three miles at Huntingdon eight days ago on soft going similar to today. Always going easily, the daughter of Walk In The Park made smooth headway to take the lead after the last and readily beat Briery Butterfly. There is much more to come from her on that evidence and she can go in again under Harry Skelton.
