What happens when you mix copious amounts of whisky and late nights? A limited-edition idea.

It began as a lark. After work, the Mighty Jaxx team regularly head to The Chambers By Cask for drinks. With time, they became friends with David Lau and Thomas Fernandez, part of the whisky bar's founding team.

Lau and Fernandez, incidentally, are fascinated by the world of toy collectibles, and Mighty Jaxx's creations are prominently displayed in the bar. The more we drank, the more excited we became about the fusion of collectibles and whiskies, recalls Bryan Tan, Mighty Jaxx's chief strategy officer.

Six months and multiple designs later, the limited-edition Three Kingdoms three-bottle whisky set emerged, priced at $5,888. Each bottle represents a different ruler from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms literary classic by Luo Guanzhong.
