Find yourself reaching for a glass of red when you're stressed? Or maybe your day doesn't feel complete without a cold beer? If so, you're not alone - 41% of Brits say anxiety and stress are their most common reasons for drinking. But while alcohol can make you feel good in the short term -boosting your mood, helping you to relax- over time, it can lead to weight gain and premature ageing. Want to cut back? 1 YOUR BODY WILL GO INTO DETOX
'For frequent drinkers, feelings of anxiety, sweats and headaches are common when giving up,' says nutrition expert Penny Weston". "These usually occur within the first 24 hours after your last drink, but should stop after four to five days.
