Pub set for shake-up under new landlord
ONE of Hanley's oldest pubs has undergone its 'biggest shakeup' in years.
Chris Holdforth is the new landlord at The Albion, which has welcomed customers through the doors since 1902.
Chris, of Bentilee, wants to bring back its 'glory days' when the Marston's pub 'was known for its live music, regular weekend DJ sets, and long opening hours.
Live music, DJs and karaoke nights will play a big part in the pub's future, says Chris, along with free pool days and pool and darts teams.
He said: "When I saw the opportunity to try to turn things around come up, I just thought 'You know what? Let's go for it! Now I'm here trying to make a change and get the pub back to its old glory days."
