Moore: It needs to be a group effort to earn Lincoln reward

DARREN Moore is relishing the chance to have a go at Lincoln City today after coming through a difficult week at Port Vale.

- Clive Youlton

The Valiants boss, pictured, is ready for the challenge of trying to earn points to guide the club away from the bottom rung in the League One table after seven games without a win.

The last victory came at Barnsley on September 27 and since then Vale have lost four and drawn three, two of those finishing 0-0.

Moore knows the atmosphere the Lincoln fans will bring will be noisy and in his pre-match press conference he said: "That's what it is. At least we know what we are going in to.

"At least we know the arena that we're stepping in to and what to expect.

"And how they have been going. It's another tough game for different reasons, but we know that.

"Whatever game I sit in front of people and discuss it's always going to be a tough game. League One is a fantastic league, an excellent league and it asks question of you, week in and out.

"It's up to us we come up with right answers in terms of the performance that we need."

Lincoln score plenty of goals and he added: "They've got a lot of firepower on the front line, they've got goals in the team and hence the reason why they are where they are.
