STOKE City Women are ready to make history as they prepare for a Friday night battle with old rivals Wolves.

Sarah Richardson's side have been selected for broadcast on TNT Sports (7.30pm kickoff) when they head to the SEAH Stadium, in Telford, hoping to avenge a 2-1 league defeat there last month.

This is the first time a Women’s FA Cup second-round tie has been shown live on television and a pretty rare moment too in front of the cameras for Stoke, who have previously been shown on BBC iPlayer.

Head coach Sarah Richardson said: "I've said to the girls and the staff that it’s a fantastic opportunity.

“We're obviously there to get the job done and that’s our priority but what an experience this is going to be for everyone.

“We want to make sure we don’t want to play the event, as such, but we want to enjoy every moment and make sure we do ourselves proud.”

Wolves are second and Stoke sit eighth in a congested Northern Premier Division table.
