Captain Caelan backs out-half to justify promotion to starting No.10
JACK CROWLEY is the focus of Irish attention as he slots in at out-half against England at Twickenham.
It is not a shirt he has been regularly trusted with lately but it is easy to forget he was the incumbent for all five games in last year's Six Nations.
And Ireland skipper Caelan Doris believes the 26-year-old will be seen to best effect when his side have front-foot ball.
He said: “The No.10 has a big part in leading the attack during the week, Jack's been great at doing that this week.
“He's an exciting attacking runner. He was very good last week when he came on and brought another level to our attack so I'm excited to see him with ball in hand and making things happen.”
Crowley comes in for Sam Prendergast, omitted from this matchday squad completely as criticism mounted about his lack of form and defensive frailities which include 10 missed tackles in two games.
